Before & After Part 3: Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch...

So this Texas ranch remained the same on the outside, but its innards were completely reworked. Yes, it's staged within an inch of its life. Leaving that aside, what do you think of the finishes?

I don't like the renovation at all.

I don't like the dining room. But I like the whole living room, kitchen, breakfast room part. I like all the bead board. And all the muted/neutral colors of the walls.

I like the dark gray base cabinets in the kitchen. Nicely sets off the white.

Most of it is too much for a ranch house. But that is more the fault of the furniture and over accessorizing, not the renovation, although I agree that the dining room is awful, really awful. Bathrooms aren't so hot, either. I do like the kitchen/breakfast room. The best room is the front entryway. The beadboard wherever it is is a good choice.

I would have found a way to use less arctic white. I really don't like white walls everywhere you look. Color is our friend.

Less is more. But this is Texas, so not surprising.
