Still no luggage here. When I enter my claim number into the worldtracer system it comes up with "TRACING CONTINUES. PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER." This suggests that the Etihad representative lied to me when she said she was sure it is in Paris. She also entered its description as a black backpack when I told her it is a grey duffle bag.

Which is why I never check luggage and can go to Asia for 20 days without having to do so.

Besides, need to upgrade to a more adult rolling luggage than a duffle bag.

Maybe France will now focus more on their liberal immigration policy. That open door policy to all their ex colonies filling the country with people from all over god's creation has done them more harm than good.

I'll be absent for a few hours. My friend Bob and I are driving to Downingtown so I can pick up my candle holders and Bob can drop off some items that he wants this pewter dealer to sell. And his wife has invited us for lunch.

My suitcase is actually a very large duffle bag with two wheels. Not possible to carry on all the clothing, presents, books, and American cosmetics (a local friend uses me as her mule and then resells them in her salon at a huge profit).

Yes but, in the case of France (and a few others) with the socialist policies that have produced large double digit unemployment numbers (especially among the young) there needs to be some rethinking of the policies, both immigration and welfare. The US seems to have a well working immigration situation, even with all the illegals, as they come here to actually work, not get onto the welfare program.

No doubt but one needs workers to pay for all their social welfare policies. France is in best shape concerning childbirths as they have a replacement rate of two kids. Germany down to 1.5, which will limit their "engine of Europe" status.

Reading various Facebook pages about the Abu Dhabi fog delays - sounds like a real catastrophe that Etihad was completely unprepared for and didn't know how to cope with. It's not like fog is uncommon here in winter either. Senior citizens stranded on airport floors for 24 hours or more, not provided with meal vouchers, blankets, or basic information. And there are shills everywhere saying "oh but SAFETY FIRST so deal with it" when nobody is arguing that planes should have taken off in the fog.

Hello! long time, no see. lp invited me to see bday wishes - thanks to all for the happy birthdays!

My worse flight was in Jan 1977, aeroflot from Kiev to (then) Leningrad. Not because of turbulence but it felt weird in the plane, like the pressure and air supply were goofy. it was really scary. (bday in Leningrad that year.)

Several wedge-shaped buildings in Greenwich Village and further south, on Seventh Ave. South and Varick St. I once sublet one. Tiny wedge-shaped bedroom, asymmetrical living room that appeared to be bigger than it is, shower in the kitchen and little toilet room (only for my apartment) in the hall. My brother (the crazier one) lives in an old 6-story walkup building with maybe 30 little apartments, at Broome just before Varick. His has a similar layout to my sublet but little toilet room off the kitchen, which has an old bathtub.

The boyfriend has a younger sister, an older brother, and an older half sister. The younger 3 are about a year apart.

Randi, she can get a work-study job on campus but it's pretty competitive. When she started, she applied for a job at the ice rink but they wanted kids who would be able to work year-round. She thinks her best prospects are with the campus post office--not a USPS post office but where the students get their mail. It's inside her dorm. She could probably get a job as a tour guide--the admissions people really liked her when she applied when she started school and she had a recommendation from the director of orientation, but, as I predicted, they wanted someone who had been on campus for more than 2 weeks. I think she soured on the idea because of the weather--looked like a good idea in August, not so much in January.

There are also jobs in food service, maintenance, offices, etc.

And I've working on my game because life is taxing
Got to get it together and see what's happening

Get it together
Get it together
Get it together
See what's happening

I go one two like my name was Biz Mark
But I had to do the shit just let me embark
On the lyric and the noun and the verb
Let me kick the shit off 'cause yo, I'm not the herb

Well, it's not the herb but the spice with the flavor to spare
Tho moog with the funk for your derriere
While we're on that topic, yes I'd like to mention
When it comes to boning I'm representing

Spacing, zoning, talkin' on the phone and
My brain is roaming and I don't know where it's going
Talking lots of shit, a little tweaking on the weekend
I've got to get him by the reigns because I know that I'm freaking

Well, I'm a funky skull and I'm a Scorpio
And when I get my flow I'm Dr on the go
So Q-Tip, what you on the mic for

Because I had to talk about the times when I rhyme
And when M.C.S come in my face, I'm like mace
Because I back them off with the quills
Nigger 'cause I tell you, nigger 'cause I'll keep you under prills
Resting on nine one one sixteenth ave off the Farmes Boulevard

But I'm from Manhattan M.C.A.'s from Brooklyn
Yea, M.C.A., your shit be cooking
Praying mantis on the court and I can't be beat
So, yo tip, what's up with the boot on your feet

I've got the timbos on the toes and this is how it goes
Oh, one two, oh my God
One two, oh my God, I've got some shit
I've got the Kung Fu grip behind my green trap kit
Never, ever, ever smoking crack, never, ever, ever fucking wack

I eat the fuckin' pineapple now & laters
Listen to me now, don't listen to me later
Fuck it 'cause I know I didn't make it fuckin' rhyme for real
But, yo technically I'm as hard as steel

Gonna get it together, watch it
Gonna get it together Ma Bell
I'm like Ma Bell, I've got the ill communication
Ma Bell, I've got the ill communication
Ma Bell, I've got the ill communication
Ma Bell, I've got the ill communication
Ma Bell

Keep it on and on

That's not true, people came out in the past.

Regardless, to me the thought that more than a dozen people or whatever it is could falsely accuse someone of such crimes is almost scarier and more upsetting than the possibility that someone could commit such crimes.

Are there any examples of a group of people being found to falsely accuse a celebrity of a crime like this and extorting money from them?

Coffee Shop Where Owner Called Jews 'Greedy Infiltrators' Closes
http://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20150107/bushwick/coffee-shop-where-owner-called-jews-greedy-closes

BUSHWICK — A coffee shop whose owner called Jews "greedy infiltrators" on social media has shut its doors, according to a sign outside the shop.

Wow that's some Bullshit, like the pot kettle thing, LMMFAO!

"In it, he said that Jews "function via greed and dominance."

Maybe we can replace Jews with Fucktards.

But a hand-written sign was recently posted to the shop's window saying that it has "closed temporarily" and will reopen in the spring "under new management."

Funny, I see the "renovations will open soon" and closed for repairs" sighs all over the place, they popped up last month but don't mind me, Neiw Bracken is doing just "fine".

Yes stoops, was just in NYC for new years and a conference.

Am now getting the run-around from Etihad - their Facebook page is very responsive but has no substance:

" Luggage didn't arrive from Paris on EY32 on Jan. 6th. Your representative at AUH assured me it would arrive on Jan. 7th which it did not in spite of two flights arriving from Paris that day. Your representative also assured me my luggage was in Paris but when I enter the tracking number provided the worldtracer system says "TRACING CONTINUES. PLEASE CHECK BACK LATER" which indicates that nobody has any idea where my luggage is. Furthermore even though I told your representative that my luggage is a gray duffle bag she entered it as a black backpack. How much incompetence and false information do I have to endure from your representatives??"

Etihad: "Hi Matt, thanks for contacting us, we are really sorry about this situation and we truly understand who it must be frustrating for you. Please be assured that our team is doing its best and will get in touch with you as soon as there is an update. Thanks for your patience *AB"

Me: "Your team is "doing its best"? Does that mean that when I say "grey duffle bag" and your representative enters it into the system as "black backpack" is your best?"

Etihad: "Please feel free to email us a feedback regarding your experience with our staff at socialmedia@etihad.ae. Thanks *AB"

My Mac says it's 12 here. Fortunately, the heat is on, and it's nearly 70 in our apt. (Shush, Pete.)

Great photos everyone!
DFB, I think you can see class photos on that website ClassMates.com
You look up your school and class and it links to other classmates and the class photos they post.

I went to Catholic school from kindergarten through high school. It was all girls from 4th grade on. The nuns were generally good, kind people but I must admit that I suffered abuse at the hands of one. But that happened then. They were pretty good hitters. High school was good. The nuns were very serious and smart and they took us seriously. For me high school was harder than college.

Six, I flew two cats once when I was moving. They wrote that one was black and one was white when they were both white. When I saw the documentation, I went CRAZY. I made them make sure the cats were ok and change all documentation. It was probably one of those days when the airline worker went home and said "honey, what a DAY I had today. There was this LUNATIC woman...." Anyhow the cats were fine. I hope you get your stuff.

Six, what's your healthcare situation there? Can you see a doc at some point soon?

Health care is provided by the gov't and NYUAD. But I've been feeling slightly better over the last few hours so I think I'll avoid a doctor visit this time around. I've never actually been to the doctor here except for the tests required for my residence visa.

FB friend's complaint about her upstairs neighbors:
"Jesus Christ, Mary Mother of God.. People upstairs. They're like having a really bad meth trip when the man starts jumping up and down with his testicular loud voice. (I think they watch MMA shows and really gets into it.) As the woman TALKS AND TALKS AND TALKS so LOUD, oblivious that the entire complex can hear her and her life story and chain smokes like your grandma's chimney and the carcinogenic smoke is masked by cheap department store perfume. Sometimes, they'll fight and all I wait for is the gunshot that one would kill the other. 10 years at this place and I actually miss my former lesbian neighbors having wild sex and loud orgasms. And mind you, they are so loud, my pomeranian chihuahua gets soooo scared, shaking and pees herself in fear. Not to mention they work in the medical field, high strung, and highly stressful job. Do they not know about the cacophony they cause?"
