Reminiscing last night about having moved to Brooklyn, I do miss my deck and yard, especially the fig tree

Thanks. There was an apple tree there when i moved there and i relocated it to the back corner. Just thought it was a flowering one but the second year it bore fruit.

Just bought probably the last rolling pin. You won't be able to see the entire curated collection though intil after New Years. They have been shipped to Provincetown and will be brought back to Bucks when I return

Oh wait it's actually Wednesday now. Hello from Heathrow. Premium Economy wasn't bad and I had the front row seat in the section - plenty of legroom (but not worth the price differential so would never pay). Slept most of the way here and then got three hours in a bedroom with shower so slept some more. Now I have to try to stay awake for 11 hours to San Diego.

CT is too cold to grow a fig tree, even with wrapping it in Burlap for the winter.
I am thinking of growing one in a container and moving it to the garage for the cold weather.
Then again, probably too much trouble and I will end up killing it.

Are you sure, DCB? If they get full sun and are in a location protected from winds, the hardy ones might grow. They grow well on the Cape but the Cape is more moderate due to its being stuck out in the Gulf Stream.
