What a great massage place. In true Hong Kong direct fashion, the masseur spelled out the range of services and what the expected tip was for each. Needless to say, I got the full package, both literally and figuratively. base massage was only HKD 418 ($54).

Understand why he does/did it but that still can't excuse it from NFL perspective. Rice got into a verbal & physical confrontation with his fiancée and him being the stronger person won the fight. Peterson is whipping small kids who can't fight back. How can the NFL say that's OK but the other is completely No-No?

To be consistent, NFL needs to ban Peterson indefinitely

M4L, Rice gave her a knockout punch. Could have killed or seriously injured her. To me that's plenty serious

The thing about tantrums is that the kid is out of control. Hitting doesn't help, trying to reason with the kid doesn't help. Take the kid outside and let him/her flail it out on the sidewalk or at home. Sometimes you have to leave the food on the table at the restaurant. So it goes.

Also, it's not like Rice made any attempt to take care of her after he knocked her out. He dragged her out of the elevator by her feet. Not like he's not strong enough to pick her up.

I never hit my son, but I also kept pretty tight discipline by rewarding good behavior and taking away stuff for bad behavior.
Never had any tantrum issues after 2 and half or so, and never had him try to hit me or anyone else.

I have seen plenty of way over permissive parenting leading to badly behaved kids, especially in NYC but also in LA.

Rf, so if it was spike lee instead of rice fighting with his wife and spike's whimpy punch was only able to give his wife a black eye, that is lesser offense?? I don't think the strength of the puncher makes it less severe or not the offense. You punch your spouse and spouse doesn't die, it should be the same offense. If the spouse died due to the punch then diff story as outcome yields a different legal punishment.

I don't like punishing someone differently for what could have happened vs what did happened. Maybe, in a different scenario, that warrants the different treatment but can't see why in this one

"The researchers, led by Brown University political scientist Rose McDermott, found that conservatives and liberals smell dissimilar.....Other differences are more psychological: Conservatives will look at an unpleasant image 15 percent longer than liberals, and they're also more likely to keep an organized dorm room in college. In fact, one study showed that conservatives are more generally conscientious and liberals are more open to new experiences. Libertarians display some psychological aspects of both groups, albeit with a far lighter helping of respect for authority."

A customer told police that he walked into a Papa Murphy’s take-and-bake pizza at 3316 Williams Drive in Georgetown on Sept. 2 and saw an employee — Austin Michael Symonds — “rubbing his testicles on the pizza he had ordered,” an arrest warrant said."
