I liked Human League, Flock of Seagulls, the 'hair bands'...that was fun stuff at the time, and balanced out the darker dead kennedys/this mortal coil type stuff I was also listening to back then.

big·ot·ed
?big?tid/Submit
adjective
having or revealing an obstinate belief in the superiority of one's own opinions and a prejudiced intolerance of the opinions of others.

Well what do you know, I am! However I don't claim superiority of my opinion. And I rarely give a crap about other peoples' opinions. Honestly, most people don't. Throwing the term racism around to describe me is disgusting. But people like Pete can sleep better at night thinking that there are racists everywhere..

So, a rather full plate chez rf. My brother is coming from St. Croix for medical treatment tomorrow night so he can walk. He's had debilitating back pain since my dad died in April and he has several cracked vertebrae. They will do the superglue thing at Mt. Sinai on Monday morning and then he has to talk to his oncologist about how long his life would be extended if he does heavy-duty chemo. Plus he has an issue with his eye caused by the anti-cancer drugs he's been taking. Since he will finally be here, we are planning to do a memorial for my dad next Saturday.

Plus of course my daughter's move-in day for college is on August 19.

And then, last night, my brother's wife's father died.

I think the very elite liberals are cynical and self serving, but for most others it is easy to believe in the party line, and to feel they are doing the right thing.
Some examples:
Debt doesn't matter
Government is your friend (and/or parent)
Regulations solve problems
Centralization of power creates efficiency and benefits everyone

Whoops, I meant to talk about gardening. Anyone have an opinion about Dawn Red Wood Trees?

In other words, there is good and bad to him, and I find it better to accept the parts I find worthy and mostly ignore anything else.
