IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND/WILL TRY TO ATTEND, PLEASE STATE SO IN THE COMMENTS AS WE NEED TO GIVE OUR CONTACT AT OCEAN'S 8 A ROUGH HEAD COUNT SO THAT HE CAN BLOCK OFF THE APPROPRIATE AMOUNT OF SPACE FOR US. THANK YOU. NOW COMMENT, DAMMIT! :-)
Sooo, what are you doing on the evening of December 15th? You already have plans? WELL CANCEL THEM!!!
Join us for our Third Annual Holiday Party on December 15th from 6pm until we drop. This year we will be taking our merry little selves to Ocean's 8, located at 308 Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn (near the corner of 7th Avenue).
What the heck is Ocean's 8? Well, it just happens to be the largest fun spot in...well...ok...we don't *know for sure* that it's the largest anything anywhere, but hey, trust us when we say it's HUGE! Ocean's 8 features numerous pool tables, 2 bowling lanes, air hockey tables, ping-pong tables, a bar (of course!) and a kitchen that serves food! (The onion rings are FABULOUS!) For more information about Ocean's 8 and to see pictures of the space, visit their website athttp://www.oceans8atbrownstone.com/index-1.html
As is our tradition, we will exchange silly dollar store gifts, so get to the nearest dollar store and buy one gift - the silliest, craziest, most useless thing you can get your hands on! - wrap it or put it in a small gift bag and bring it to the party! Our Third Annual Goofy Gift Grab-bag will not disappoint!
This year we are also going to again provide toy donations to needy Brooklyn kids. Last year, we gave to the Red Hook Community Center. Sadly, budget cuts forced the closing of the RHCC in May. So, CobbleSnaps Productions asks that each party attendee bring a gift (or more than one if you can!) to donate to Good Shepherd's holiday toy drive. We need toys for young kids all the way up to teenagers. PLEASE DO NOT WRAP THE GIFTS! Leave them in their original packaging, but no wrapping. If you wish to put it in a gift bag thatís fine. Also, if you purchase a gift that runs on batteries, please supply the batteries to go with the toy. Please find it in your hearts (and wallets!) to give a gift to those in need this season. If you canít stay to attend the party, please consider stopping by Ocean's 8 to drop off a gift for Good Shepherd. We will gather up all the gifts and take them to the Good Shepherd facilities and make the donation. Last year we had such a great turn out and TONS of gifts for the RHCC. You can see a write-up and pic of the gift stash here: http://www.brownstoner.com/blog/2010/12/closing-bell-ho-7/
We look forward to seeing familiar faces and new posters. We also look forward to getting a great stash of gifts to donate to Good Shepherd. Come join in the fun!
Ocean's 8 is located at 308 Flatbush Avenue. Take the B or Q train to the "7th Avenue" stop and use the exit that is marked "7th Ave and Flatbush." The main entrance to Ocean's 8 is right outside this stop. You can also take the 2/3 to either Bergen Street or Grand Army Plaza. For the bus riders, take the B67 or B69 to the corner of Flatbush Avenue and 7th Avenue, or the B41 to Flatbush Avenue and Park Place. (map - http://tinyurl.com/3vacg9s)

you're not gay so you dont really understand. it's like asking what's so african-american about that dude who played Urkel on Family Matters. don't be such a cliche'.
this is an amazing way to upon up some dialogue...
so what is so "x" about you being part of "y"?
ill throw one out there, as a member of the white trash community i WILL say that mac and cheese is EXPENSIVE now all of a suddent. fuck that shit and fuck the people who make it expensive. it used to be 5 for a dollar, then 4 for a dollar, and 3 for a dollar now (only if it's on sale) and most likely 2 for a dollar but i only buy if it's three for a dollar.
somewhere between 5 and 4 we lost our 3's. precient. shit you not.
Had a great weekend. Hope you all did too.

So, as you know, last year we held our holiday party at Loki in Park Slope. Cobble and I are open to suggestions on a location for this year's shindig. Please give some suggestions and be sure to provide the name and address of the bar you recommend. Try to suggest places easily accessible by subways. Cobble and I will take into account all suggestions received and make a determination based on size, location and availability. Thanks!
